What makes starfish so intriguing? I can never decide if it is it the texture or the beautiful symetery somewhat askew. Whatever it is, I do hope you share my same love for these hand painted portraits of these sweet little echinoderms.
This pattern is great for beginners. It uses only one simple stitch and yet creates such a memorable embroidered item that will be cherished.
All you need is a little bit a time and something to stitch on! The Sulky Stick'n Stitch Stabilizer, printed with my hand painted templates, works beautifully on linen napkins and table cloths to knit wear and even denim. Just peel and stick and you are ready to get stitching!
After you have done your embroidering, it can be submerged in water and washed.
I highly recommend purchasing a thimble and embroidery needles in size 9 or 10 to go along with this pattern.
Sizes vary just like real starfish - 1.5 for the small and up to 2.5 inches for the large
